I am here to reassure you and make it as pain free as possible. 

Don't listen to scary stories, everybody's pain threshold is different.  Most find botulinum toxin injections bearable.  

There is a local anaesthetic within Dermal Filler which will last up to 2 hours post treatment.  

I will use numbing cream where possible. 

Avoid non-invasive treatments at least 2 weeks prior to treatment. 

Also avoid retinols or acid skincare 3 days prior to treatment. 

If you prone to cold sores please make me aware.

If you take blood thinners, make me aware DO NOT stop taking them. 

Avoid alcohol 12 hours before treatment and also after. 

Please remove make-up before your treatment and do not apply for 12 hours after also avoid touching or rubbing the area(s). 

Bruising is NORMAL.  Please follow the before and aftercare advice to help minimalize it. 

Please plan your social life around your treatments  you may bruise and you will be most swollen 1-3 days after treatment.  This is your body's natural response, it will settle and you will see the final results at 2 weeks post treatment.

For 1 hour remain upright

for 1 day (12 hours) - avoid high intensity exercise  and also avoid trying to exercise the injected muscles. 

You will see the full effect at 2 weeks - a top up may be required, this will be discussed at your review appointment. 

If you suffer from cold sores, you may have to take a course of anti-viral medication prior to and after having your treatment to help prevent a flare up. This will be discussed at your initial consultation. You WILL NOT be able to have treatment if you have an active infection.
